  • What kind of church is Catalyst?

Catalyst is a Biblically based, evangelistic, Holy Spirit-empowered, disciple making church with a heart for serving others in our community.

Our greatest strengths are in the name. Jesus is the ultimate Catalyst. We want to reflect Him and see His Kingdom brought to Fort Bend County and beyond. Church is not a tradition or location, it is a community. Community is at the heart of who we are and what we are offering to our neighbors.

We come from all walks of life and cultures. We have singles and families, young to older-ish. At Catalyst, you will experience the hope that only Jesus can give as you find a place for every member of your family.

  • What should I wear?

Come as you are! We have people from all walks of life—casual jeans and t-shirts to whatever feels comfortable for you. No dress code; focus on connecting with God and others.

  • What can I expect during a typical Sunday service?
    • Friendly welcome with coffee and greeters to help you find your way and check in kids.
    • Upbeat worship music and a practical, encouraging message from the Bible.
    • A Holy Spirit-empowered, family-friendly atmosphere focused on hope through Jesus.
    • Services last about 75 minutes—relaxed, transformative, and welcoming for everyone.
  • Do you have programming for kids and families?

Our Catalyst Kids ministry serves newborns through 5th grade during the Sunday service (and Wednesday nights during Community Group seasons).

All kids ages 0-5th grade are checked in before service and given a sticker/pickup tag for safety. Nursery (ages 0-2) and toddler-pre-K are brought to their classrooms by parents before service. Kids in K-5th remain in service until the end of worship time, when they will then be dismissed to their classrooms for a fun and engaging bible lesson.

Our Youth students (grades 6-12th) remain in service for the entirety and are also encouraged to serve in ministries of their interest.

If you would like to preemptively check in your child for Sunday, you can do so by completing the VIP form.

  • Do you have a youth group?

We are passionate about the next generation. Our youth should be confident they are partners in Catalyst alongside the rest of us. Our students are active in serving in almost all of our ministries; from worship, to hospitality, even in the Catalyst Kids ministry.

Radical Catalyst Youth is for students in 6th-12th grade. Meetings are on Sunday afternoons from 5:00-7:00 PM. We have worship, lessons, small groups, and FOOD!

Get your student plugged in by filling out a VIP form, and be sure to add them to your household at the bottom of the form.

  • What if I can’t make it in person?

Check out our sermons page for previous messages as we do not currently live-stream services.

Community Groups meet on Wednesdays from 7:00-8:30 PM with Catalyst Kids and nursery programs meeting at the same time.

Check our event page to find details and registration for more ways to get connected. There is always something happening at Catalyst!
